For over 50 years, Reflections has helped students explore their own thoughts, feelings, and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence, and find a love for learning. The Reflections program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts, which boosts student confidence and success in the arts and in life.
Each year, hundreds of thousands of students in Pre-K - 12th grade create original works of art in response to a student-created theme. This year's theme is "What My Culture Means to Me". With HEB ISD being considered one of the most districts in Texas, this is the perfect opportunity for our unique communities to shine. Please share this year's theme with your campus and encourage your students to participate and explore what their culture means to them in one of the following categories:
Dance Choreography
Film Production
Literature
Music CompositionÂ
Photography
Visual Arts
Wednesday, November 12 is the deadline to enter all advancing entries to the District level. After all entries advancing to the district level have been received, there will be a three-panel judging session to select the advancing entries to compete at the State level.
